                    Learn the basic touches of a gentle healthcare and training system known as

                    Tellington Touch or TTouch.  This work can relieve physical and emotional stress,

                    strengthen the immune system, speed healing, build self-confidence, and improve

                    performance.

 

                    This discussion will cover:

               1.  Benefits of TTouch

               2.  First aid for shock

               3.  How TTouch fits in with Western medicine

               4.  Special help for senior animals, shy ones, fearful

                    ones, those suffering from separation anxiety

 

                    As time allows, you’ll learn about:

               1.  Clouded leopard touch - basic circular movement
               2.  Abalone touch - for calming, instilling self confidence 
               3.  Raccoon touch - bring comfort to wounded tissue
               4.  Belly lifts - combat upset tummies           
               5.  Python lifts - for tired muscles
               6.  Ear slides - reduce car sickness
               7.  Body wrap - helps coordination and body awareness

 

                     If there is interest, we will also cover how to use acupressure points for some

                     common health problems.

 

                     Please do not bring dogs.  Cream Puff, my demo dog, will be there to

                     assist us.

                       This class presents the basic movements of TTouch, a gentle training and
                       healthcare system based on compassion and respect for our animal family
                       members.  These techniques promote optimal health and behavior by
                       eliminating fear and habitual responses.  Bring your dog and learn a
                       combination of touches, lifts, and strokes that can:
                                ☻  increase your dog's balance and coordination
                                ☻  build and/or restore self-confidence
                                ☻  ease pain, especially arthritis and dysplasia
                                ☻  reduce physical and emotional stress
                                ☻  release tension
                                ☻  improve comfort level, especially for senior animals
                                ☻  combat shock and digestive system problems
                                ☻  reduce recovery time from illness and surgery

                   TTouches taught in this class include:
                                  1.  Clouded leopard touch - basic circular movement
                                  2.  Lying leopard, bear, tiger touches - circular touches for specific
                                       problems
                                  3.  Lick of the cow's tongue - improve balance and coordination
                                  4.  Tarantulas pulling the plow - increase circulation
                                  5.  Mouth touch - improve ability to focus, good for oral health
                                  6.  Abalone touch - good for calming and instilling self confidence
                                  7.  Raccoon touch - bring comfort to wounded tissue
                                  8.  Belly lifts - combat upset tummies
                                  9.  Python lifts - for tired muscles
                                10.  Ear slides - just because it feels good, reduce car sickness
                                11.  Noah's march - reintegrate and revitalize
                                12.  Zigzags - connect front end and rear end
                                13.  Connected touches - tie it all together and amplify the effect
                                14.  Body wrap - helps coordination and body awareness

                   Additional topics taught in the class:
                              ☻  A general overview of acupressure
                              ☻  Use of acupressure points for some common specific problems
                              ☻  Use of TTouch, acupressure, and Western medicine together
                              ☻  The importance of nutrition for your dog's health and vitality
                              ☻  Tips for toe nail trimming, oral health, removing toxins

                   comfortably and bring a blanket for your dog to lie on and a towel.
